Get up to $20,000: New Incentive for new Nurses (Including Internationally Educated Nurses) in B.C. Canada (2024)
Hello Internationally Educated Nurses,
I hope you’re all doing well!
I’m excited to share some great news that makes now a perfect time to pursue your RN career in Canada, especially in British Columbia (B.C.).
B.C. has introduced a new incentive program where you could receive up to $20,000 when you land an RN job in the province!
Starting in April 2024, this incentive is available to new nurses in B.C. The financial support ranges from $15,000 to $20,000, making it a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start or advance their nursing career in Canada.
However, there are some eligibility criteria to keep in mind:
You must not have worked for another health authority in B.C. in a regular position (full-time or part-time) within the past 12 months.
You’ll also need to commit to working for at least two years in the role and location where you’re hired.
There are two different incentives available—one for rural areas and one for urban/metro locations.
For more details, you can check out the full information from BCNU here.
This is an incredible opportunity, and if you’re in the process of getting your nursing license in B.C., now is the time to take advantage of it! Be sure to ask potential employers about this incentive when you’re interviewing.
To help you prepare for your Inspire/NCAS assessment or if you need a refresher to boost your confidence as a nurse in Canada, consider enrolling in the TNT Nursing Refresher Course.
Wishing you all the best in your journey,
